The Needham High School Alzheimer’s Club was restarted in February 2022 by Ellie Meisner, Leah Frazzette and Caroline Mahar after the club came to a halt due to COVID. The founders each have a grandparent who either is battling Alzheimer’s or who has lost the battle to the disease.
The club is open to all Needham High School students and has about 40 members. The club’s focus is on fundraising and awareness and all proceeds will benefit Needham Goes Purple. The club was a huge asset during NGP’s lemonade stands in June of 2022 and recently held a bake sale at the high school.
